Trade Assurance Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Scope

This policy describes the managed Trade Assurance support that RL Group Asia provides to eligible verified buyers and suppliers on orders coordinated through our Bangkok trade desk. Trade Assurance is not an automated escrow product, payment processor, or insurance policy; it is a manual coordination and mediation service applied on a per-order basis.

2. Eligibility

Trade Assurance is available for transactions between parties that have completed RL Group Asia’s manual verification process and whose order has been formally accepted into the program. Eligibility, scope, fees and the dispute review window are confirmed in a per-order engagement letter before payment is made.

3. Payment Coordination

Secure payment coordination is available by request for approved B2B transactions. Most coordinated orders today settle via bank transfer (T/T) or Letter of Credit against pro-forma invoice. Managed escrow and milestone-release payments are coming soon for eligible verified orders and will be communicated when live. RL Group Asia does not currently act as a regulated payment institution.

4. Buyer Support

  • Manual supplier review before introduction.
  • Negotiation support on specifications, lead time and payment terms.
  • Mediated review if delivered goods materially deviate from the agreed contract.
  • Coordination of refund, replacement or partial-credit outcomes where the trade desk’s mediated decision supports the buyer.

5. Supplier Support

  • Introduction to pre-qualified buyers.
  • Documented evidence review in any dispute to protect against frivolous claims.
  • Coordination of payment release once delivery and acceptance are confirmed.

6. Dispute Mediation

Disputes on a coordinated order must be raised in writing to the trade desk within the window stated in the engagement letter (typically 30 days from confirmed delivery). Both parties submit documented evidence — contract, photos, inspection reports, shipping records. RL Group Asia’s team reviews the evidence and issues a mediated written opinion within the agreed review window. Outcomes are not legally binding awards; enforcement remains a matter for the parties and their respective jurisdictions, but the team works to a practical resolution that both sides can accept.

7. Exclusions

Trade Assurance does not cover: changes agreed verbally outside the contract, force-majeure events, buyer-caused customs issues, willful misrepresentation by either party, or any order that was not formally accepted into the program in writing before payment.

8. Fees

A coordination fee may apply per order and is disclosed in the engagement letter before the buyer pays. There is no automated platform fee deducted from payments.

9. Roadmap Items

The following capabilities are on RL Group Asia’s roadmap and are not currently live as automated features: managed escrow, milestone-release payments, integrated card processing, automated logistics tracking dashboards, and self-serve KYB workflows. They are available on a manual basis by request to the team where applicable.
